I recently got Snapper so that I could check my gMail, I was having a lot of problems with VersaMail. My only problem now is that it seems to be downloading mail at random, with no respect to when the email was originally received. Anybody else had this problem? I've already gone online to disable and re-enable POP access for all mail.

    Thanks.

If you've had a Gmail account for awhile, and have been using the archive feature, you probably have quite a lot of mail in your account. What you want to do is enable POP to download only mail that arrives from now on.

Alternatively, you can sign on to Gmail in "recent mode"; when you login, don't use your username, but instead, recent:username@gmail.com

This will give you the last 30 days of email; you can then download to a different client as well (e.g., Outlook on your desktop). For more information, see http://mail.google.com/support/bin/a...e=f&ctx=search

if i'm not mistaken, google just launch a new mobile gmail application, you might want to try that out. but if the error happened again, maybe you should create another gmail user for your treo.

    Issue with my Versamail.
How do I make Versamail gmail account stop showing my sent mail (as in new inbox email)?
Its not the biggest issue, just kind of annoying

You can't. It's not the mail client, it's something to do with Gmail's implementation of POP. The same thing happens to me with Snapper.

That really blows. Would you recommend another email account that is versamail friendly? (weird, but my .mac account works flawlessly with it, go figure)

Not really. I jumped to Snapper the first time I had issues with Versamail, and I mainly just use it with Gmail.
