Default Treo life if just playing MP3s..I have a long flight comming up..

    Hi,
Im in the market right now for a good all around PDA/Internet/Phone and the Treo650 looks like it'd fit me best. I was wondering, seeing that I sorta want an mp3 player for my 18+ hour flight next week, and I'd prefer an all-around gadget on me during my flight..I was just wondering what kind of battery life I would be expecting if the only thing I used the phone for during the flight was for Mp3 playback? Thanks

For an eighteen hour flight you will need to bring additional, charged batteries. For long hauls to Asia I bring a small iRiver mp3 player and a couple of spare AA batteries as I want the phone to be charged and usuable when I land.

Of greater concern is that many flights do not allow you to use a Treo 650 during flight. I flew from Boston to San Francisco twice last month on United and on one of the legs the crew specifically announced no Blackberries or Treos could be turned on during the flight. I was glad I had my iRiver with me that flight or I would not have been able to listen to any mp3's.

Ack..I forgot about that. Did a quick search..and I guess its all up to the staff of the plane to decide if it'll interfere with their electronics.
