Trying to delete emails and it shuts the Treo down

When I try to delete certain emails in my inbox, I get an error message that reads, "Mdata Err:ERROR_NO_ENTRIES_FOUND" and then once I get this message, the Treo often shuts down completely. My service provider will offer me no help other than resetting the whole phone (which doesn't help).

I take it you are using Versamail - I do not know the name of the file; however, deleting the message file with an application such as FileZ and then executing a soft reset should help. Problems similar to what you are experiencing are reasons why bunches of people use another application.
