Unlocked Cingular Treo and Unlocked GSM Treo Update/Firmware

Hey all! Long time reader (not really, just a couple of weeks), first time poster...

Just curious, what would happen if I were to update my unlocked Cingular Treo 650 with the Treo 650 Updater 1.20 for Unlocked GSM? First of all is that possible? If it is, would I then have a phone similar to the factory unlocked version (except mine would say "Cingular" on the top left corner)? <--- Does that make sense??
