    Default Updating firmware on unlocked 650

    I'll be receiving a new unlocked (Cingular splash screen) 650 shortly.

    If I need to update to firmware 1.20, will I be able to do so without re-locking the phone? I'll be using the phone on the T-Mobile system.

    1.15 CNB: Software, 1.31 Firmware

    Do you just run the updater? I want to do this right. I was thinking about doing a ROM, but all the info is getting jumbled between Shadowmites and the other tool.

    Question

    1.17 is the latest Cingular firmware update. Not knowing how the phone was unlocked, I'd advise against updating the firmware until you're completely sure. Sorry I cannot be of more assistance on this...
