my problem is that my company is telling me that Exchange doesn't support palm os, only windows mobile.

I bought the palm to get email, but didn't research carefully enough i guess. Any Exchange guru's out there know if this is feasible or if our IT guy is blowing smoke up my butt?

I can't set up outlook and run wireless sync because he also is telling me that they only allow secure POP3 access from outside the network.

    Hi:

I am not an Exchange guru, but I do know that we have 20-25 PALM Treo users and we are on Exchange. We have also recently added several people using Windows Treo devices and we all use Exchange. I believe we started this using Exchange 2000 about two years ago and since then we have updated to Exchange 2003.

We are on Sprint using their BizConnect program on the Treo if that helps....

Thanks Steve...I think our IT guy just doesn't want to help me out. I will have to do some looking myself.

Does anyone know where I can download versamail, or have another mail program that would work well? I would need to support 2 exchange email addresses and a Gmail address.

I'm confused...Versamail should have been installed on your Treo out of the box.

Did you buy this used? You should also find it on the CD that came with the Treo package.

Search these boards and you will find all kinds of threads about various email programs such as Chattermail and Snappermail, but those have to be purchased.

Glad you got it working for you. The title on this thread really bugs me since I don't feel windows mobile is an upgrade over the palm system. Oh Well versamail does have its limitations so if you download alot of stuff (pics and stuff) you might look into the other mail programs.

Fair enough. Windows Mobile definitely is not an upgrade to Palm OS
