Verizon 650 Network Search... - Treo Forums

Love the 650 but yesterday the unit would only display "Network Search..." at the top of the phone screen rather than "Verizon Wireless". Also the 1x is missing. All aps, including the phone, work fine except the auto setting of clock and calendar. Tech support at Verizon of no help.

Although I do not use wireless synch (versamail works fine), the Sync main screen refers to a Synch Session on 5/25/05 with the words: "Phone or radio is off". Is there a radio in the phone that needs to be turned back on?

Anyone with an idea?

I have the exact same problem. I did just setup a connection to a bluetooth adapter successfully. But even after disabling all of the bluetooth software on the phone and the computer, the phone is still "Nework Search..." all day long. I can't imagine i'm saving battery life with it searching all day. What network is it searching for, the phone is still working???

I had a similar problem. I did *22899 and let the system reconnect with my phone. Once it was finished, the "Verizon Wireless" and "1X" came back.

Hello All:

The network search probably means your phone is losing the connection, which could be a Verizon network problem. You could also be in a bad area for reception. Do you have a strong signal when connected and it does display Verizon? Your green blinking LED probably turns orange also as there is no connection. However, one of you mentioned that the phone is working. I have to wonder if it is on the Verizon network or if it might be roaming. It does usually display "Roaming" if out of your network area though. You might want to set the Treo to give an audible signal if you leave your network and then you might know if you are roaming.

I do not have Verizon so I can't really comment any more. Just thought I would throw out the very basic to you as a start.

The term Radio means the phone.

Initially the hard reset worked but once I synced it again the phone went back to network search. Many times I have 3 to 4 bars It just drains alot of battery searching for a network. Also my led is green.
