Versa Mail deletion from server problem - Treo Forums

Ok until today my email was working great with versamail. I have it sent to delete the mail from my mail server when i delete messages and empty the trash in versamail. Well, today i start having this problem. The messages are not getting deleted off the server anymore. They are staying on it so after i delete messages and empty the trash when i go back later to get more mail i get the old messages again. Can anyone help.

Teezy,

I am having the same problem. All of a sudden, mail isn't being deleted at all. I have tried several different setting changes and nothing is helping. I am sending an email to Palm to see if they have any solutions.

so I am not the only one. its weird because it was working great since I got it, and all of sudden it won't take the mail off the server unless I do it with my pc. I never changed any of my settings either. the only work around I have found is to leave the mail in the trash and not empty it until I get the chance to delete it on my pc. let me know what palm says

Make sure that in your mail preferences that you are clicking the option to delete mail from server when deleted from VM. Then to make sure, as soon as you delete, and hit the checkbox that says delete from server, empty the trash and choose both. That should get it off for ya. Works for me, and those I have recommeded that to as well.

that's how I have always had it set. it just started not working
