Ok I have been reading for days and I am still cant find a definative answer

I just got my Treo last week via sprint. It came with versamail on it can someone tell me the good the bad and ugly of versamail compared to snappermail or chattermail.

I use my yahoo email account ALOT and I am will be sending a massive amount of attachments and I am not sure which program I need.

I am sure that someone can answer specifically to Yahoo mail, I can't! But I can tell you that I used Versamail for 4 POP3 email accounts when I first got my Treo. It would be great for 2 or 3 days and then unexplained resets would happen. Corrupt databases on one email account that kept repeating itself. I found a fix via this board to Palm's support threads on how to delete the database and then reconfigure. After about the 4th time, I didn't need that tutorial, as I had it memorized. . . .

So I did a test drive of a few third party email apps. I settled on Chatter! I can't say enough good about Chatter! Bottom line is, no more email woes since I made the switch . And I love the vibrate feature. I have a different vibrate for all my accounts, and with the ringer off, and the treo on my side, I pretty much know which account just recieved mail.

Although I haven't needed it, I have read that support is great, and all updates are free once you purchase the license . . I honestly thought when I first got the Treo, that versamail was good enough for me, as I am not one to live and die by my email. But with the problems I had, if I were going to be able to depend any at all on email via my Treo, I realized it was going to be through a third party. I would highly recommend Chatter.

If you're a heavy e-mail user, you definitely want to make the jump to Snapper or Chatter. You'll find fans of both here. Personally, I like Snapper's "fat finger" interface. The registered version of Snapper also comes bundled with apps for handling attachments (Diddlebug, JpegWatch Lite/Splash Photo depending on version, and HandZipper Lite).
