VersaMail folder problem
In VersaMail, when I try to "Edit Folders" ( I want to creat a new folder) it resets the whole unit. The PalmOne software resets and kicks me back to the start-up.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Are you able to receive and send e-mails? Can you delete e-mails?
Sometimes you get a corrupt file and you have to delete files in versamail and then reset up your account info to get it working. You might have to delete some files.

Receiving OK...
I'm receiving OK. Having some set-up problems with sending (internal issue with work server - should have cleared up this week).
I can delete files. I just can't go to "Edit Folders" to set up a new folder - it restarts the Treo.

I had a few corrupt files and had to delete them. When I tried to clear/delete an e-mail my treo would re boot. I don't know if deleteing your files will help or not but this is what I did: (not to painful)
I used filez to pull up my internal memory and deleted all asc( number) files that the treo would let me delete. I then had to setup my e-mail account again. Besure to get your settings (username, password, servers) before you delete so you will have that info.
This might not help you but it did stop my treo from resetting. I think there are better directions at the palm site.

Hello temoc,
This is Kevin from Palm. plunker is correct that this could be happening because one of your VersaMail databases has become corrupt. There is a Palm Knowledge Library article that lists specific steps you can take for deleting those files: "VersaMail crashes or resets Treo 650".
Sincerely
Kevin

It wouldn't let me delete
Sorry for the delay... I hadn't had a chance to work on this until now.
I followed your directions to the letter. I selected all of the asc3 and asc4 files. When I went to delete them I got the following message: "This operation can't be performed on a card (Internal)"
Some of the asc files had a "lock" symbol next to them (MMNotify and MultiMail). I tried un-checking these and deleting the others but it still wouldn't let me delete.

Sorry temoc, going to have to bump on that one. Perhaps someone else is familiar with that type of error, I've never seen it mentioned in any of the Versamail fix threads I've read. The mention of "card and "Internal" seem to contradict each other.
Do you have a Verizon branded phone? If so, did you originally install Versmail to a card, by chance? I don't know if that can even be done, just shooting in the dark here.
Whatever branded phone you have, have you done the latest update for it?
If we get no other suggestions here, you may want to try the steps under the "Rename the VersaMail folder" or "Delete other apps & databases with a hard reset and data restore" sections of the article I pointed to, above.
Sincerely
Kevin
