what would i need to do to run video? is the vid quality good?

Video quality is ok. Take a look at Kinoma 4 - http://kinoma.com/. Remember though, memory is at a premium with a 650.

TCPMP is the only free video player I know of. It's all you need. Qvga video looks really good.
