Video recording sound issue - Treo Forums

Loving my Treo 650....

but when I have been recording short video clips there is no sound being recorded along with them. I know it was once working, because I was able to have sound on a clip I recorded when I first got my Treo. Lately, however, I have not been able to play back any sound. The video portion is perfectly fine. Did I accidentally turn it off?? Not sure if that is even possible. (Volume is all the way up.)

Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Well this may not be a lead... hard to tell. But today I just had a similar problem with my VoiceSignal voice dialer program. The solution was to reset the TREO. That is take off battery cover, pull battery, and press reset (to the left of battery case). It seems that the program had hung for some reason. Now I was under the impression that the issue was the VoiceSignal software, but who knows? It may be the way that the audio integrates with the system commands and could be a similar issue. You have nothing to loose by trying and with just a little luck, it may work. Good luck. Larry J.

Normally that's what the problem is with any peice of commnications tool. You must shut it down by completely removing the battery. I have to do that with one of my original systems just to get the calendar (alarms) to go off.

Does anyone know if TREO is aware of this problem? Or if TREO has announced any fixes to this. I am quite certain something like this should be covered in the warranty

ditto for me. i've had problems with both the camera and video recorder and a reset has always fixed it. well, not fixed it, just got it working again until the next problem.
