Smile Viewing Programs on Expansion Card

    Hi All,

    New to the forum today.
Does anyone know if it is possible to view & launch programs on the expansion card without having to eject the card & re-insert?

    Thanks,

    Rooster

Programs should run fine from the SD card, as long as your Treo is able to read the card.

    Thanks Jeff,

When I select 'card info' from main menu I can view the summary info. only, no details and no icons.
Only way to get the icons is to eject the card & re-insert.
    I am using a Panasonic 'SQ01G' (1GB).

Should I see the program icons when I select 'card info'?

    Thanks.

Unless you're using something like zLauncher or PowerRun to put shortcuts in ram, any apps on the card will be in the Card category in Applications. Card Info just shows you basic info about the card, not files. To clarify my earlier statement, there are a few apps that do not run well from an SD card, typically apps that have their own conduit to the desktop or that run in the background.

    Thanks again Jeff.
What is the pathway to open the applications on the card?

From Applications, just switch to the Card category (it's at the bottom of the list). If you want to be able to browse the card, you'll need a file manager like Filez or FileProg.

Mark, you might want to try zLauncher. It does a lot of things, but one of my most favorite is moving applications between the card in the device. Its very handy to keep many apps stored on the card with shortcuts built into the device. Plus, it does a great job of organizing your Treo interface, and is a great file manager. It does a lot for $20.00!

You can also customize the look, and there are several themes available to choose from. Its one of my favorite applications for the Treo.

    Thanks a lot Stillrockin!
I have heard good things about Zlauncher.
