Voice Dropouts During Calls On Treo 650 ...

Hi,

Ive suddenly started experiencing voice dropouts suddenly for about 3 secs or so at regular intervals during calls. The other party isnt able to to hear me suddenly amidst the conversation for 3-5 secs and then its back and then again after a min or so the dropout reccurs.

I tried the same sim card in another samsung handset and the calls dont drop out there.

What could the problem be ? I tried a soft reset it but hasnt helped.

Got the sim replaced with a brand new one, still same issue.

Any advice would be helpful...Thanks

It would be really helpful if you could let me know what you think.

Also incidentally i wanted to ask, Is something like this possible if you forget to switch off the phone before pulling out the sim card tray ? I think i did that once by mistake while trying to clean the unit. Can that cause permanant damage to the treo ?

Hi, I started having exactly the same problem back in August when switching provider to O2. Who're you with? I've had the phone for four years before that without problems.

I just switched to T-Mobile today, so will see if it helps.

I didnt switch to any particular network. Just pulled my sim card out when the phone was on. But i dont know if the dropouts started after that, but i cant remember doing anything else to my phone which worked perfectly for about 18 months beafore that with all the same settings and sim card.
