Buy it, don't hesitate, it works really well, is very stable and makes your treo speaking and listening experience so much better. I suggest you get the Pro upgrade, which is $14.95 total - this allows you to elevate the volume on applications that have sound and also increase volume on ringtones.

Hi Dollface, Ring tones are quite loud on my Treo 650. But its the conversations im having trouble with. Especially when i put the phone on speakerphone in the car. It needs to be a tad bit louder to be perfect. Have you tried this software extensively on a 650 ???

yes, my husband's 650 also uses Volume Care as he is getting a bit hard of hearing and this amplifies all speakers beautifully.

    Hi,

Ive loaded the demo on since last night.
I feel the difference is very subtle.
I couldnt tell the difference on some calls and then on some calls i could tell the audible difference. Is this a bug or something or does it basically work this way only ?

did you go into the adjustments on the main page - Volume Management, and checkmark Advanced; then click configuration. You can set your Start Volume for Handset, speakerphone and headset above the midway point, this sets the boosted volume for when you first start to use these speakers. Then raise the Boost Level to almost the very end, be sure that all of these speakers are checked. then when you get a call if it is still not loud enough you can raise it with your volume toggle on the side; you can always raise the Start Volume some more. Then click Advanced Conf. at the bottom and checkmark Side Button Toggles Volume Key and then you have the "Volume Key Adjusts" where you can try both to see which one gives you the best results for your calls.

. Ive set and calibrated everything. I do understand that there are many users who get disuaded when they see such menus. Ive always been able to figure out exact purposes and the logical arrangement of a menu system. At least most of the time. I think that comes from years of 3dsmax designing. (Youve got to see those menus to believe it) So everything calibrated right. Then ive saved the values from within the menu. Then tried calls with both enabling and disabling the software from the home page. I dont see a marked difference in clarity. But strangely some calls seem louder. In other words its not consistent in its performance, i think. This is just my experience. Some calls on the other hand even rattle and jar the speakerphone. Though ive not set volumes to the highest available. But i really like for this to work. Would be very helpful.

I'm so sorry to hear that you are not getting consistent results, Volume Care amplifies all of my calls, and particularly the speakerphone and ringtones. My DH always missed calls because he never heard the ringer, even loud obnoxious ones! Now with Volume Care set to amplifiy the ringtones, he has never missed a call. I particularly like the ability to amplify programs, as I have it set to amplify Pocket Tunes, Kinoma, my Alarm program and my Cuckoo Clock program

Ive been trying it over the past few days now and does seem to help. The difference in volume at times seems to be dependent on the network and might be due to the fact that some times some nos sound clear and certain lines always have a weak voice, Irrespective of Volume Care being used or not.
