VZW T650: is this normal???
I am starting to question whether or not I'm experiencing a problem w/ my T650.
The last few days, when I am calling from my T650 to my Wife's Cellphone (VZW), the convo will go great, but then, at about 10 minutes into the convo, she claims that she does not hear me at all (as if I had muted her... but not!!!). I will say anything to let her know I hear her, but she doesn't hear me, so I hang up.
My Wife uses a LGVX4400. When this has happened, I have told her that something must be wrong w/ her phone causing this issue, as I don't recall this issue happening when I talk to other people on my T650. This has been going on about a week now.
So, today I call my Wife at home on my T650, & what I explained above happened again!!!
Has anyone experienced this phenomenon on/with their T650 and/or have any advice/input???
TIA...

yes
650 on VZW will drop most calls about half way in. One way if full drop, but I also get the "mure" effect where the other person can't hear you anymore.
Even after a *228 to update, I still can't really rely on the treo 650 as a cell phone and have had to leave a greeting on my voicemail that basically tells clients they've reached me on a the treo650 and if they leave a message I'll call them right back on a land line. Kind of frustrating to say the least. Had one client tell me he'd drop me if I didn't go back to my old cell phone and he's about 70% of my billings, so...will probably get another cell and just use this as a PDA. Great for that, anyway.

Me TOO!!!!
Crap,
This is ridiculous. I'm seeing the same thing on about 15 units I got for my corporation.
I have spoken with Verizon on mulitple occasions, and they are telling me that it's due to the fact that the 650 isn't designed for use with the CDMA network, but rather the newer, EVOP (I think) network.
BUT, Verizon doesn't have the EVOP network finished, but they had to keep their deadline to palm, thus they released the device on the WRONG NETWORK (tsk tsk).
All of this is second hand from my local agent, so it might be a bunch of smokescreens, but I'm hoping this network rollout will fix all of our woes.
WOULD SOMEONE WITH MORE INFO ON THIS PLEASE POST?
Thanks.

actually, I solved this issue by disabling the touchscreen while on a call. I haven't had the issue since. I'm guessing some part of my face was hitting the mute option on the screen, during convos on the phone...
