Not sure if this helps bluegreyeyes, but may help someone else keep from being embarrassed. Inside the treo there is a sticker (or something) that changes color if it gets wet. The carrier can tell this and will void the warranty. My buddy found out the embarrassing way.

My treo was sitting on my counter and someone spilled a glass of water which made it's way to soak my phone. The guy who spilled the glass grabbed the phone and shook it to get the water out. I don't think he took the battery out at that moment, but he touched the screen and said it would go to the hotsync screen and go no further. He is a treo owner as well and is fairly familiar with the phone. He didn't tell me immediately after it happened, my mother-in-law brought the phone to me a little while later and said it got wet. I took the battery out and dried everything out with a towel first then my wife went to work with the hairdryer for 10 minutes. It still would only turn on and go immediately to the hotsync screen. I got home this evening and thought I'd try to hotsync it to see if it would respond. It hotsync'd twice then I was able to use it for about 3 minutes getting the prefs set, etc. Now, it's back to the hotsync screen without me trying to do so.....what do I do now?
Any help would be greatly appreciated?
