You're correct about Nokia and Symbian, but I don't know much more than that since those phones are more popular in Europe. Sony Ericsson is another company that uses Symbian OS.
Since PDApps was acquired by Intellisync which was then acquired by Nokia, I would have to imagine that the developers got sucked into doing something more relevant to Intellisync related products.
Intellisync provided software that could potentially compete with RIM, Good Technologies (now owned by Motorola), and Chapura.
