Here's a snippet from the Volume Care description:

"VolumeCare increases the maximum volume levels for each Treo speaker. Studies have proven volume increases up to a 250% in handset volume, speaker phone volume and wired headset volume. VolumeCare will also allow you to adjust your voice volume (aka microphone) so others will hear you *loud* and clear."

Here's a review of Volume Care that details my experiences with the program.

I'm not sure I would say it enchances the sound of your voice, but rather increases the sound of your voice.

    Hi Chris and gang,

I have all the apps that came with my Treo, plus:
    Adobe Reader
AvatGo (which has a ton of files and info I use regulary: BBC, CBC News; Encarta French and Spanish; Globe and Mail; Sporting News; Hotspot locator; Mobile Gabriel; and the best one is Brian's Belly: where else would you find info on the world's first beer health spa!)

    Blazer
    Documents to Go
Real Player (Do I need another?)
    TreoAlarm
Oh yeah! I almost forgot, I have F1 2006. It is the F1 car racing schedual this year with lots of extras.
My SD Card has music and a couple of music videos and photos!
Looking into Agendus, Zlauncher, and Butler.

Chris, you'll have to tell us about the Agendus and how the review is coming along. I was just looking at that site. It sounds good. Keep us informed!

    Default Bookmarker in Real Player?????????

I am a brand new owner of a Treo 650 and so far I love it. I do have a problem trying to figure out how to get from one screen to another without closing a program but I'll learn.

My number one question right now (there are many others) is this. When I use Real Player to listen to Podcasts (example - Kim Komando's 3 hour weekly radio program) I listen in segments while I'm walking. I have a very hard time remembering where I left off when I last listened. Is there any program to download that will let me bookmark the site? No harm in asking, right?

BTW - I'm really enjoying reading (and learning)all your posts. I love this site!

Unless an app runs in the background, it is closed when you switch to another app.

Pocket Tunes (aka pTunes) will do that.

    Hi PghPatti,
Welcome to the Treo world. I know you will love your Treo even more everyday. I have the same problem as you mentioned about your podcasts. A simple reminder may be just to note the time on the player when you shut it down. 3:35, for example and fast forward yourself there. I mean, if you do not want to go to pTunes.

Thanks Kreth and Geo for the response.

Yes, Geo - that's what I have been doing - making a "mental" note where I stop the Podcast but my brain is on such overload (sounds like a good excuse ) that when I go back to it - I don't remember where I was.

I think I will look for the pTunes and use it.

Yesterday I downloaded the trial version of ZLauncher - and WOW - I love the challange of new programs - but this is REALLY a challange - especially with the small screen. I am trying to sift through the online manual - even printed a good bit of it. I'm glad I have 30 days to make a decision.

Again, thanks! And yes, I Love - love - love my Treo 650 already.

WOW - thanks to you guys I am a very happy camper. I downloaded the pTunes Basic version and I LOVE it! It will be wonderful to be able to go right to where I left off when I listen to my Podcasts. It took me so long (even when I remembered where I left off) to try and get that tiny bar right to the point that I wanted it. Of course, this is another program (WHEW) that I have to learn all about and all the bells and whistles - but it will be well worth the price.

I keep putting off going back to a point where I read troubleshooting email - taxes my brain too much. I have no problem GETTING my email but I need to do some configuring because I can't RECEIVE my email. I do have a problem that everytime I get email the Treo reboots.

I am so utterly amazed at what all this little thing is capable of. I'm definitely not computer illiterate - it's my hobby - has been for 17 years - but I'm totally new at the Treo. And here I thought my Palm Zire 31 and 71 were great. I'm movin' on up!!

    Thanks again, PghPatti
