Default which firmware to use ?

I just recieved my tre650. I live in costa rica and the phone came unlocked although it was / is a cingular phone. I would like to bring the firmware up to date, it has 1.04 i think. Anyway to cut to the chase do i use the cingular firmware or the unlocked gsm from the palm site.

    thanks in advance

I have effectively the same phone, Cingular branded but now unlocked. I've used the official Cingular upgrade as it is the one meant for my phone. The upgrade worked fine and it remained unlocked.

I'd recommend you make a note of your unlocking code (if you have one) before upgrading though.

I agree, that sounds like the best move --

    Good call.
