    Default which ringtone program?

Just wanted to know which one most people use and recommend! Also, throw out the links so I can take a look for myself.

WHat are the pros and cons of each one that you may have used?

ringo pro, do a search and you will find the link, I don't remember it. you can add your rings for globel or individuals plus assign pictures for each caller.

I tried RingoPro for awhile, but it wasn't very stable (for me). I was missing calls because sometime it would go silent, until I went in and "reapplied" my preferences. I've heard the more recent versions are better. I will say that a lot of people seem to like the program, though. FWIW.

I went with mRing as well, because when I was looking into ringtone managers, I read several threads here and on other forums about issues with Ringo and Lightwav. I understand that both are much more stable in recent versions, though, so it probably will come down to which program is the best fit as far as features.

Default Ringo Pro works for me

I looked at Ringo Pro and mRing...and downloaded them separately for a trial run. Of the two, Ringo Pro never crashed or forced me to do a reset. mRing in its trial run, kept freezing and causing resets....BUT..here's the thing... and keep this in mind....I also suspect that when you add a new app to your treo, it has to live in harmony with all the other apps you may have purchased. So maybe the combination of add on programs I purchased just didn't get along with mRing.

Either program does the job...so you can't go wrong with either app!

UPDATE: After not using it for many months, I opened up RingoPro and there was an option to check for a newer version. I have been using the latest version and it is working great. So, I am changing my recommendation on Ringo to a "buy"!

I LOVE Ringo Pro...it allows you to assign mp3 files to groups, individuals and the main ringtone. It also will attach photos to each person OR group!

One issue I ran into with the trial version of Ringo Pro was trying to uninstall. Everytime I attempt to uninstall Ringo Pro using Uninstall Manager, I get the message that the app is protected and that I need to do a soft reset and try again or change the settings of Ringo. Anyone had anything similar to this?

    Thanks,

    Scott

Try disabling Ringo and then uninstalling.
