As SteveTaz man stated, use it with nothing for a few days. When you execute a hard reset and then a restore, you bring the problem back. The problem may not be noticeable, but it is there waiting to jump up and strike at a most inconvenient moment. If you do opt to hospitalize the device, the surgeon will execute a hard reset as the first step of diagnosis.

Not much of a phone without the phonebook on it...
but I think I will try to do as you said anyway, after I get the Centro that is, so I have somewhere to store the phone numbers. Another funny thing happened after my last hard reset. You know the area where the Carrier name sits. Upper left corner. After I turn the phone on I see the name of the carrier but after a few hours (could be after an alert of a new mess or mail coming in) it sais 'Invalid character set' on that line. I never had that before. Did you ever hear about that?
Come to think about it, I think it might be my company's sync program Pylon that causes this. I upgraded to a new version at about the same time as the hard reset. Unfortunately iAnywhere or Sybase are notorius for the lousy support, so I don't expect to get an answer from them.
It's not that much in the way, but I'm still curious to know what it might be. Can't revert to the older version of the sync program cause they made a few good improvements to the translator and I threw away the old installer long ago.
Thanks a lot anyway for your good advice.
