Hello Palm world!

I just bought the Palm Treo 650 the other day. I love it minus the volume problem being so low. I did visit VolumeCare and hopefully when I download it, it will knock that problem off the list.

I have a few questions and concerns. I need feed back from Verizon Wireless users. I just don't want to have a $1,000,000 cell phone bill. Here is my package info. I have the voice and data 1350 airtime mins, in calling, NWlong distance etc. for 79.99 and I pay an extra 30 for unlimited data uses. I just want to make sure if Im surfing the web for hours on end that it will not be taken from my airtime minutes. I doubt it will, but it cant hurt to be too sure ya know!? I also understand the difference in a txt msg and email but I have a plan that allows 2500 txt msgs and 40 pix msgs. I just uploaded the VersaMail and linked my AOL to my palm. When I receive an email, it wont count as a text message..right??? I do text a lot and last month believe it or not I exceded the 2500 txt by 500!!!!!! What a nerd I know. Also I tried to link yahoo and gmail to my VersaMail, but it wouldnt connect. Is there a reason why?

Another thing: How do you download ringtones? and are they only stored on the External Memory Card? What is MIDI formats? I had a Motorola V710 and I have a memory card that when inserted into the expansion card it fits the Treo 650. For some reason my pictures wont show up and if I reformat it, I will lose all my pics AHH!!

Ok Im sure I will have more questions later but this is good for now. Please help!

No, surfing the web and getting email uses up data, not voice minutes.
Text messaging is different and uses up your text messages only.
The only time that the 2 might ever cross paths is if you use Verichat, where you must specify whether you want to use SMS text messages, or data.

This is Kevin from Palm. The primary database of the MIDI ringtones is on your Treo 650. You can learn a lot about how to get and manage ringtones, and find an explanation of Midi, in the Palm Knowledge Library article "Ringtones: changing, adding and managing on the Treo 650 smartphone".

Regarding the photos question, what specific card do you have and what file format are your photos?

As for the card I have San Disk 256MB and I already transferred the pics from my other phone. all I had to do was get a reader
