zLauncher theme help. PLEASE

Okay. I am using zlauncher and I am quite happy with it. I have the battery, signal, and time on the top bar. I am using a brushed theme. I have created some of my own icons that are identical to the ones used elsewhere on my treo. For instance, the battery icon looks like the battery icon on the phone screen. Here lies my problem though.

I have created the battery icon in a size of 24x24, just like the one on the phone screen. zLauncher wants to keep using an icon size of 48x24 so I have a lot of wasted space. Can anyone please help me? Is there a way to change the icon size for the battery? Or maybe a plugin that will allow a different size?

MyTreo.net has a good tutorial put together that concerns itself with ZLauncher - Perry Gonzales is the wild dude that put it together. I thought I knew it all; however, his tutorial covered things I initially had no interest in that eventually I did have an interest in.

From my playing, I found I could not change the allocated icon area. The two bars allow you to show only so much information. It's a design thing to keep you from covering icons up, I understand...
