| 3rd Party Launcher & Home Button and Shortcuts Has anyone found a program that allows you to assign your 3rd party launcher to your Home Button? So that when you press it it doesn't go back to the original palm desktop? Instead it would go to your 3rd party launcher desktop?
Any ideas how to add to the shortcut lists? I know that it still has shortcuts such as br for breakfast, di for dinner, etc. But it doesn't seem to allow you to add to the list under preferences like on normal palm devices.
Any help ... would really be appreciated. Thanks! |

Really? Do you now where I can assigned the home button in Launcher X? Just to make sure we are on the same page ... I mean the Home key button right below the power off button.
Shortcuts ... any application. On a Palm Handheld under preferences there use to be a shortcut key that allowed you to make your own shortcuts in any program that allows graffiti. On the Treo it allows the shortcuts but doesn't have a place for you to add your own shortcuts.
Thanks! |

| The use of shortcuts and an application's ability to utilize them to the fullest extent is why a third party launcher is so valuable. If you want the most bang, then look at an application that handles multiple creator ID manipulation.

| I'm sorry I meant the words shortcuts such as writing just "br" for breakfast, "di" for dinner, "ds" for [date stamp], ts for [time stamp], etc. Not program shortcuts. It doesn't seem to allow you to add to the list that was located under preferences and then shortcuts on the normal palm devices. |

| I do not believe that option exists any more. I spent about 30 minutes last week looking and did not come across it. I found it in an IM program, but not within the Palm OS options itself.

| Fount it ... ShortCut5 by Mark Tamura program allows you to add the feature from the old school Palm PDAs and you can make your shortcuts such as "br" for breakfast, "di" for dinner, "ds" for [date stamp], ts for [time stamp], etc. etc. Works a little differently ... instead of the old shortcut key you use a period instead. Works great!!! |
