No word yet on a CDMA 680, but we are expecting an announcement sometime soon. After all, this was supposed to be the affordable Palm. The one for the masses. . . . GSM only won't cover very many masses . .
Worth the upgrade? You will have to make that call. I recently put together a table with all the current Treo's on the market, to use for my own benefit. You might find it handy to compare the 650 to the 680 . .

Do you suspect that they will stick EvDO in the hypothetical CDMA 680, and call it the 750p, or something to that effect? I've theorized about the possibility of that happening sometime next summer. What do you think?

To be honest, I don't! I expect the CDMA 680 to be identical to the GSM one and priced much like it also! And I expect the next Palm we see (past the 750) to be running the brand new Palm OS that is supposed to be complete by the end of this year.
But what do I know??

Well, hopefully something happens soon (whatever that means). I'm switching to Sprint in the summer and I'd like to have an antennaless Treo at that time--or at least rumors of such a device. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Thanks!
Anyway...I guess I'll just play the waiting game in regard to new Treos. My dream phone would be a Sprint Palm OS Treo with no antenna.
And is the new OS really going to be due out at the end of this year? I thought was going to be longer than that.

The New OS was supposed to be finished by the end of this year . . . Not really clear when we will see the new OS in a cell phone. . .

woa When was this news fo an OS? I never heard of any of this. I need to know the news what os?
I doubt thee 680 will be released on the CDMA network cause of the 700p. You might have to wait a couple years before that happens. Cause pretty much teh 680=700p. The only difference is the color, annetenna, data, camera, and phone ui.
So I wouldn't get your hopes up.
