Default 680 no mic? Plz Help!!

Can anyone please help? I took my 680 apart today. I was trying to install a screen protector. When done, I put everything back together. Now my 680 has not mic. I can plug in a headset and it will work. Does anyone know what is wrong???

Not sure maybewhen you took it apart the mic plug came out or you did not plug it back in. Or the wire got kinked or something. Why would you take it apart to put a screen protector on? Yopu should not have to do that to put on a screen protector. It may be that the 680 is having jack problems like the 650 which is known to have jack problems. Look at the 650 forum for possible cures.

how to flush a warranty on a phone.... Really, should never go inside a case without absolute knowledge of what you do. it is also possible the jack may have been damaged in the opening of the case. The reassuring part is that it works when the headphones are plugged in, thats why I suspect a damaged jack. it may be as simple as plugging and unplugging a few times rapidly will clear this, unless its really tweaked, in which case, a new jack would have to be soldered in ~~NOT for the novice! and without a warranty, it WILL hurt.$$ I'd suggest checking a few treo repair places for rates. They may be better than the providers' service centers' out of warranty rates
