A complaint I've had for a long time, well, since the advent of colour screens on phones/PDA's is the poor display when outside.

I find most screens just go black in the sun, impossible to read!

My t3 was not much better, so when I first asked Palm about the treo, my first question was "is the screen improved outdoors". I was told no, and so I didn't buy a Treo then.

Since buying the treo 680 I have found that it is indeed superior outside to any other device/display i know.

In the sun the display is similar to the old green screens of the early palm pilots, it shines!
I can even read the treo with sunglasses on!

I think Palm Treo should promote this advantage more. What the heck is the point of having a phone or PDA if it cannot be read outside?
