you MIGHT be able to do it by saving the spreadsheet as a csv file and importing that into Palm desktop, but you would have to map all of your fields just right so it may take a few tries
I have a 680 w/ latest software updates. I have the Palm desktop software installed on this computer. I have an Excel file containing contacts that I want to add to the phone. How can this be done as a mass add?

I noted nothing in the new desktop that indicated a CSV import capability. Ben

I have Palm Desktop 4.1.4 and if you go to your contacts and click on File and then Import you will see csv as one of the drop-down options
Right, with the new desktop, the option is no longer there for the CSV, unless it is the same as VCal (vcs). Though it looks like it just might work. I have nothing to import though.

If your contact list is extensive it would be worth it, in my opinion, to downgrade Palm Desktop, import the csv file and then upgrade to the new version once you are sure your fields are all OK.
