Default Another glitch on the 680!

I've got something really wierd happening with my phone. I use a wired plugin earpiece a lot when driving (have a bluetooth but hate it). The other day, after using it, my girl called and I tried to answer the phone. I couldn't hear anything, then the phone hung up. She called back over and over, but it still kept happening. I thought it was the connection, until I noticed on my screen, there was no "speakerphone" icon. *For those of you that don't know, the speakerphone icon is there unless you 1. put it on speakerphone or 2. plug in an earpiece. Well...........I didn't have either one of those on.

I got my earpiece, plugged it in, and called back. I could hear her, but she couldn't hear me! So, I unplugged the earpiece, and the phone hung up! The same **** happened to my previous 680, so I traded it for this one. Does anyone have this problem? :embarassed:

This is a common problem on most treos. I have the same after using headphones. I usually just insert and remove my headphone a couple of times and it clears up. When it doesn't or it takes many attempts, I blow compressed air in the jack. So far (over two-years) that has worked for me. It's a design flaw in my opinion.

One would think the designers would read this forum.

    Good luck and Merry Christmas

Target is deadon with this advice. This is a known issue and usually plugging/uplugging will "reset" the buttons . .
