Brothers~~Help a Treo newbie out please~~

Hi everyone, I just got this treo 680 from my brother as a birthday gift, he bought this on Ebay. This treo is missing the mannual and CD. I unlocked it and currenlly using TMobile. So does Tmobile provide internet sevice to Treo phone? or does treo support Tmobile internet service. Also, there is something wrong with my text msg, it says the Sim is missing or damaged. But I have no problem on dialing. Does it mean Treo phones dont support Text to other provider? Also when I tried to connect it to my computer and press HotSync, there's another problem pop up. It stuck on the screen that says" connecting with the desktop using cradle/cable and at the right buttom corner of my desktop screen it says Found new hardware MTP, but it just wont connect to the computer. My last question, I can download the window to my treo 680? does it work like the a mini notebook? Does it support other than English? If so, do I need to download anything else to make it happen? I understand all my question sounds silly to you guys, but please help me. Thanks so much for answering any question for me~~

T-mobile offers Internet service. Go to a local one or call them! They can fix you right up! I am not sure of the dataplans and their costs, but they are available.

Treo's support Text by all providers. Multimedia messages can be tricky, but text is pretty much a no brainer. When you get that dataplan, ask T-mobile rep what the problem might be. It possibly could be your SIM card. You might need to replace it for a newer model . . .

You said that You got the phone from ebay without a CD. On that CD is the desktop Sync software. Palm is not offering a download for the 680 at this time. You NEED the installation CD to be able to sync with your computer.

Does it support other than English?

I know it supports Spanish, but don't know what other Languages are available. The sooner you change the language, the better as after syncing, there might be problems. There is this article on Palm's site, that might give you a little more insight.

By the way, does anyone using Google map with Treo? Do I need to have the internet sevious in order to use the map?

You will need the dataplan from T-mobile to use googlemaps! I use googlemaps and am impressed with the app! The next best thing to a GPS!

Sorry for me to ask another silly question, wut is "dataplan"? how can I get it from TMobile? Do I download it from my computer or I need to have the internet service on my phone in order to get it? Also should I buy a GPS receiver and TT map? or just stay with Google map? any advice? Thanks for answering~~~~~~~~~~~
