call me crazy, but I can't figure it out..
I just got my treo 680 last week.
I spent all day today trying to download ringtones. Then I found out that my phone won't take most ringtones. On this site I downloaded someones free minitone.zip I have sync'ed it to my phone... now what in the world do I do???
Any good suggestions on where to get ringtones that work???

Bunches of ring tones that can be downloaded are for different platforms. There are applications though that let you convert one format to another.
The problem with ringtones is that they take up valuable memory. The real thing to look at is a card based call manager system that uses WAV/MP3 or whatever files stored on the card. Such programs as Call Block and the popular LightWav are designed to use files on the card and do so very well.

Now that you have minitone installed, you need to copy the MP3 files onto the card on your phone. the easiest way is to use the palm installer from the palm desktop. Just dray the files from your PC explorer onto the card area of the installer and sync. After the sync, the MP3 files will be available from minitones.
