Can Email application auto-check email?

I am relatively new to using a Treo, so this might be a silly question, but is there a way to set my 680 to auto-check my email on, say, an hourly basis? I have tried to go through the settings but I can't seem to find anything that suggests that I can, so I was wondering if I was just missing something.

Don't know if versamail will but 3rd party apps will. Check out chattermail I believe it will or do a search here and you will probably find the info you need. maybe this link

In versamail go to menu, prefs, dilivery options, auto sync and setup when you want to get mail.

the inbuilt versamail has this as described by Plunker and any client you chose has the same, somewhere.

wouldn't ditch the thing for lack of info. see what asking does?

Yes, a bit on the extreme side.

VersaSmell does support what is wanted, as do ChatterEmail and SnapperMail.

Uh put down the coffee cup, stand away from the table and take a breath.

The Treo 680 easily is set up through Versamail to auto check.
It will also push email with XpressMail and GetGood, but I use good old Veramail.

1. Open Versamail
2. Hit the menu button
3. Open "Options" and hit "Preferences"
4. Choose "Auto Sync"
5. Hit the "Mail" box, choose how often from every 5 minutes to every 12 hours, time of day, and days of the week.

(I have mine set to 2 hours, between 4:00am - 10:00pm, every day of the week.)
