Can unlock treo 680 locked after performing hard reset? - Urgent Help, THX!!!

Hi guys,

I am new to this forum but i've read the comments and i am impressed, you guys are rocks!!!!

I need some help and i've looked everywhere but nothing is similar or closest to my problem.

I have AT&T branded, unlocked treo 680. Works great when i got it. I use T-mobile.

The problems occurred after performing hard reset, such as

1. "Phone Off" message appear instead of "no service, SOS only" message (T-mobile sim card is inside)

2. wireless radio icon is not showing (T-mobile sim card is inside)

3. when you push the red button, the red LED become solid instead of blinking

4. no message basically saying the phone is locked to original carrier

5. Check the phone INFO, but all I got is this:

Number: phone is off
IMEI: phone is off
HS SN: PMWG47XXXXXX
SA number: phone is off
Firmware: phone is off
Software: Treo680-2.11-ATT
CC-CAP:ATT-ATT-001
Carrier DB: 292
Hardware: A

Now, I've done all the above with or without the sim card but it can not be solved.

Sim card is not defective, i've tried it with different phone, samsung and motorola, it work fine

Any of you guys know what is going on with this phone? I really need your help, please. I appreciate the help and thank you.

Did you find any help with this? Or did you have to send it back for repair. I see the axact same problem after having tried to upgrade the ROM from 1.04 ROW to 1.12 ROW. This completely disabled the phone radio interface. When I now try to redo the upgrade in the process I get an error stating that, 'the GSMFirmwareUpdater couldn't detect valid radio revision. Please make sure you are using correct hardware'.

How will I get my radio back. I have no phone ! !

Please - Anyone - HELP ! !

:angry:I got my phone two weeks ago and i did a hard reset now Im having the same issue!!!

GSMFirmwareUpdater couldn't detect valid radio revision. Please make sure you are using correct hardware!!!
Someone please help!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!:frown:

Hi drego,

I gave up finding a solution and called Palm Support in the UK. Talked to Lucas, who said; we will replace your unit. So I just sent it in for replacement. I think you should do the same thing.

I have the same phone and also have T-Mobile. T-Mobile has a team in the "PDA/Blackberry" support group that works with customers like us who have unlocked phones. They have been a great help to me. Also, Palm has free Chat support on their website and they have been great, too.
