Default Computer Using 680 as modem

when i connected my phone today to my new macbook pro , i got a checkbox for
"Acces the Internet with your phone's data connection"

can i do this??? does anyone know how???

You might try searching the forums here. There are a few ways to do it. I use a 3rd party app called PdaNet! Its painless and works great! There are ways to configure it through the bluetooth connection also. Several here have explored and can probably offer more detail . . .

Instructions for it are in the user's manual. Search for Bluetooth DUN and you will find it. Check with your service provider to make sure this is included in your data plan and you don't get charged extra for it.

Do you know what modem script to use, i have Cingular, and i don't see Cingular option.

Cingular refers to that as "tethered mode", extra cost involved, not sure about configuration for it though

Here are instructions for Treo 700 for Cingular. I believe they work for the Treo 680 also.
