    Default Delay in hearing ringtone

Has anyone had the problem with the 680 delaying sound when the phone is ringing? It will light up and the call is coming through but there is a delay before I actually hear it ring. I have even seen it not ring at all even though there is a call coming in. Is this common or is there a fix for this? Help!! This is so dang annoying!

many things could be going on - are you using the standard ring tones and built-in software to manage tones or have you loaded some other software?

I have Ringo installed but I have tried this with Ringo turned off and just used one of the pre-installed ringers and the same thing. Don't know if it because Ringo is installed or if this is normal. Any suggestions?

try uninstalling ringo and then changing your ring tone and other sound settings with the regular Palm "sounds" application just to make sure Palm has control of the sounds. Let me know if that works!

thanks for that...have not had the time to do that yet but i do have another question. i have ringtones saved on my sd card that i would like to use as individual ringers. how do i save them to the phone so that i can pick them? i did it once and was succcessful but do not remember for the life of me how i did it. without ringo i cannot assign those tones to other people and want to before i delete it off.

You know, it just gets more interesting. I've had this thing for almost a year now and completed a THREE hard resets over the last two days trying to remedy a weird sluggishness that just developed. Sure enough, I send myself a text message and the phone doesn't ring until well after. In one instance, I had the keylock on and it wouldn't chime until I clicked unlock. There is NO third party software on the device now.

IF ANYONE GETS A RESPONSE, HAS A CLUE, PLEASE, LET A WOMAN KNOW!

I've been a Palm fan since my first Treo 90, but this is the last time. I'd rather move on to another platform than to deal with this no-wife-fi-havin' piece of overpriced crap. And forget about customer service. No such thing.
