email on 680

Abit of a strange one here....I can send an email to my sel of my 680 and receive it no probs but cannot send an email to anyone else.....i have no problems receiving mail from others. My email provider is orange uk....

can anyone help?

what's the error message???? did you also check your SMTP server? Did you verify with your email provider?

I 'nother words, your user name, password and security settings are suspect.

yeah i checked all the settings nthey are correct........i can sen email to myself fro the account but cannot send to anyone else.....i can receive emails from others too.

That just does not make sense. Do your friends have a junk mail setting that may be interacting?

yeah just dosent make sense, i have alternative email addys and i cant receive from fone

yep, no sense - have you called or checked with their support to determine the problem? Security settings are important and may be your hangup.

My email was doing the same thing. I called T-Mobile and their setting for email was a little different than what I had. I had the configs of my service provider but they had me to change it to reflect their server. I initially set up my email account on their website which brings my mail to them then sends it out to me. And vice-versa...I send emails out and they go to their server then out to the folks I am emailing. Maybe your provider has similar settings.
