Hangs & Unable to connect to bluetooth

hi ... I bought a Treo for my wife and whenever she tries to picks up a call the phone hangs ... she had to remove the battery and then call the person back. Does anyone else have the same problem and can anyone help with a solution for the same?

I also got a Samsung bluetooth handsfree complimentary with the phone but till date I have never been able to connect ... for some reason the phone does not recognize the bluetooth device at all ... is there any update where I can rectify this?
