Help Please !!!!!

I have an unlocked Treo 680.
I have inserted my Blackberry Pearl T-Mobile card and the phone works fine.
However, I was told that I had to have T-Mobile change my data plan fro the Blackberry Unlimited Internet to the Total Internet plan, whcih I did.
However, I still cannot connect on a network. I have reset the network to T-Mobile internet (not VPN and not T-Zones).

On the Preferenceas/ Network page I am seeing a red padlick icon with "Locked" next to it. If I try to tap "modify", I g\et a message which says: "This network service has been pre-installed by your mobile service provider, and cannot be edited"

What to do????????
