Default Help: Volume suddenly decrease tremendously

Just from yesterday my handset volume gone terribly wrong. I dont know why it happened. Now i can hardly hear anything in the conversation in a quiet room let alone in the street.

I tried take the battery off and on again to reset, and system reset too, but it doesnt work. Anyone knows the problem to this and how to solve?

    Thanks alot.

What happens if you set it on "speakerphone"? Does it function properly?

    Two options:
    1) Try uninstalling lightwav2 and see if that fixes your sound problem.
    2) Try installing volume care (at a free trial) and see if you can hear better.

If you were having the problems before you installed lightwav2, I doubt installing volumecare is going to help much . . Speaker volumne was a big issue in 650's, but the best I can tell, the 680's are more reliable. My guess is, you are having some wiring issues with your 680. Is it still under warranty by chance?

It may be painful, but 90% of the time, if you hard reset the Treo and wipe out all 3rd party apps you installed, it will fix the problem.
Then start adding the apps back on one by one.
This has worked for everyone I know.
Did you do the obvious thing and make sure the volume is max'd out?
