Default Hotsync log error msgs

What do I do to correct this?
Why do I need to delete any task records, as there are only 4 on the desktop?
I have a feeling the error is an indication of something else wrong, instead of there being too many records of either calendar or task entries.

I am having the exact same problem with my new 755p. Mine also says under "Media": "local category 'Palm' has been deleted. Help! Mine is a brand new device. My error messages under calendar say that desktop =9460, Handheld = 9422. Contacts for Desktop = 298, Handheld=297. tasks for desktop=55, Handhel=53.

Can someone plz walk me through step-by-step how to resolve. Unfortunately I am not a techie. I have called Palm 3x and got disconnected 3x. I'm really, really frutstrated. I upgraded to the 755p from the 650 because of hot sync problems. When I transfered the information, I did not transfer any 3rd party applications.
