How do you transfer info from old treo 650 to Treo 680?

I have been using my treo 650 hotsynced with MS outlook for a few years. Now I just purchased a new 680, How can I transfer all the info (contacts, taslks, memo's...etc) from my 650 (device name: user1) to my new 680 & set it up to sync with MS Outlook, can someone point me in the direction of some tutorials to accomplish this. Ive also read some of my old apps on the 650 arent compatible with 680, is this true? if so how do I ttransfer these apps over to my new phone.

I did the same upgrade two months ago. I just beamed everything from the 650 to the 680. Worked like a charm because you can beam entire the contact list and not have to do each one individually.

Just to be safe, I would Google your apps (ex. "Pocket Tunes Treo 680") to make sure there are no conflicts. I don't recall if the 680 had a newer version of Palm Desktop, but it wouldn't hurt to run the install from the CD that came with your new Treo. It won't touch your backup folder. During the install, it will ask whether you want to sync with Outlook or Palm Desktop.

the magic and beauty of the treo and pdas is this very thing. Nothing complicated at all.

Install your treo software on your desktop. Sync your 650 info. Plug your treo 680 in. Right click on the hotsync icon in tray and chane all settings to desktop overwrites phone. Press sync button. All desktop info will be installed on your phone - pictures, contacts, memo, todo everything even your preferences.

Palm 100 - palm tungsten - treo 650 - treo 680. I have info which i entered on my 100 some 5 years or more ago.

I'm pretty new to the treo fam. can you explain how to beam from a 680 to 680? i can't seem to get it to work. probably forgetting something.

I was try "Pocket Tunes Treo 680" but its not working. What can i do. I also want my some contact deliver from 650 to 800.
