Default How to Disconnect from Internet?

I had a Treo 650, and there was an option at the top left of the screen that would allow me to disconnect from the internet. My new 680 does not have that, so I assume it just stays connected (the little green arrows are on). I'm afraid of getting charged for data time, so I have to turn my phone off then back on to disconnect. Is there another way to do this?

Just go to Preferences, than Network. At the bottom there is a Disconnect button.

Which preferences? When I'm connected, you have to go to options, then Prefs, but it doesn't have that option on there.

Press the home button, that gives you all the applications that you have on your treo680.
Than you sellect the preferences application, than select Network.

There's also a freeware program called Network Down -

http://www.metaviewsoft.de/en/Softwa...reeware/Other/

I guess it saves a step or two of burrowing down as its icon can be on your regular view or launcher page. Kills off the net connection.

Tcch. Typical Palm. Now that they are so beholden to the wireless companies, there's little incentive to make it easy for the end user to disconnect from the wireless provider's pricey data plan.
