Default How to set number of rings before Treo answers?

My Treo rings orchimes twice and then it answers nad if I do not get to the phone fast enough, the Treo stops the call and rells the caller to leave a message. This is very frustrating. Is there a way to set the number of rings or chimes before automatic answering?

    Thanks,

Go to Preferences and in sounds and alerts set up the following:
1.- In application choose Calls tones
2.- In Volume choose at least level 6
    3.- Vibration: Never.
4.- Check Increase volume calls tone
5.- Choose your prefered ring tone a little larger in KBs.
6.- Unknown call: Yours preference ringtone
    7.-Itinerance: Your option
    8.- push Done button

If these options doesn´t work let me know in this forum for other options.

    Default Try this one

Found this about a year+ ago and as I remember it did the trick:

You can use the following codes to control the delay from 5 to 30 seconds on any GSM phone:

    1. To get the current call forwarding status, enter *#61#[SEND] into your phone.
    2. Write down the 10-digit number(ignore the +1), this is the phone number that your calls are currently being diverted to. (voicemail?)
    3. Enter **61*[number]*11*[delay]#[SEND] into your phone using the phone number (numbers only) as reported by the status & the delay can be set to (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30) seconds.
    4. To verify that the settings are correct, enter *#61#[SEND] into your phone.

The idea here is that the phone goes to voicemail after a delay, not after a number of rings. So the "number" in the procedure described above is the voicemail system. Thus on the keypad phone screen input **61*[voicemail number]*11*30# then [Send/Dial] and you've set the phone to ring for 30 seconds before it'll forward a call to voicemail.

By default the delay on most cellphones is 10-15 seconds which usually isn't enough time to get the phone out your pocket/holster, especially if you didn't hear the first ring.

    Good luck
