Indicator Light

have had many palms.this is currently my second palm phone.my first was the treo 650 now i have the treo 680.
heres my question!!
with the 650 there is the indicator light on the part of the phone near the earpiece.it blinks green constantly when the phone is on.it glows red when charging.
my new 680 glows red while charging and turns green when fully charged.Yet it does not blink green to tell me my phone is on/i have a signal.(like the 650 does)
is this a problem? or does the 680 not do what the 650 did??
i have looked this up on the palm website and did not find an answer!

or if this is not a problem is there a 3rd party app that will make my indicator light blink when the phone is on???

The Light doesnot blink when is on/have signal. It only blinks red when it doesn't have signal. It only goes green when fully charged.
