If anyone is having trouble where clicking on the memos restarts your phone, I think I found one solution. I recently had this problem with my Treo 680. After a exhaustive search I found the solution be pretty simple.

First I went http://www.pimlicosoftware.com/datebk4.htm and downloaded the dbscan datebook database checking utility. It is toward the bottom. When running this utility choose "other" for an option. This looked at everything other then the calendar. It didn't find any problems with my Treo, but from what I understand, it may find some problem files which you may have to loose if they have errors.

Then I went to the Palm Desktop Manager > Hotsync > Custom menu and I chose the Memos and clicked change. I changed from "Synchronize the Files" to "Desktop overwrites handheld". Once I ran the Hotsync the memos worked successfully and my phone doesn't reset anymore.
