Insurance - Treo Forums

Hey I'm looking for a phone insurance company online since the idiots down at cingular wont insure phones costing more than $X. Anyway i have only been able to find ones in the UK from searching on google (how odd). Does anyone have suggestions/recomendations?

Try doing a search here for Insurance companies . . This has come up before and some names have been dropped as insurers.

That site will only insure like $10,000 worth of equiment- lol (from what i could find). thanks tho. i was looking in the forums and they said some homeowners insurance companies will do it for you so im gonna call our All State guy today and see what he says.

Did you get a quote? You can insure cell phones to home computers. Plus with homeowners insurance there is a deductible too.

Our All State Agent is in Las Vegas for vacation so im gonna get a quote as soon as he gets back.. but i was reading in another forum that some one got phone insurance through their State Farm agent for $2.50 a month with no deductible.. so im hoping I can get something similar...

speaking of cingular and insurance... cingular convinced me to purchase insurance for my 650 last may. in november i went to the store to add several more phones to the account and the manager once again told me to keep the insurance on the treos and blackberries we own. several days ago i broke the lcd on my new treo. when i went to the store to find out the procedure to get it repaired, they said it wasn't insured. of course, i insisted that it was insured and that they sold it to me. i had them check the account and when he discovered the insurance was in fact on the phone they said they had to credit my account because treos are not insurable! i'm just floored that they can do this. it's like buying car insurance from allstate and after you are in an accident they say "sorry we're not covering you because we don't like the car you drive". i was wondering if anyone else experienced this and what, if anything, can be done about it??

well I thought of getting the insurance but when I went to the cingular site and clicked on the links ands got to the insurance it clearlt stated that there was no insurance avaliable on the treos. I thought it was lame on their part. Go my post above to mmobileprotech and check it out I havent purchased that insurance but I'm thinking about doing so especially if I get a new device
