    Default Messaging Problem

Living in the SMS capital of the world, I'm more used to sending SMS than calling. Since I bought my Treo 680 in 2006, I have more or less accumulated thousands of messages. Because of this, my Sent folder is already hanging, and everytime I send a new message, the phone hangs.

I tried erasing through the delete message tools, but it hangs due to the volume of the messages.

I already did a hard reset, but apparently, when I reset my Treo, and re-synched it for all my files, all the messages got re-synched.

Is there any way to remedy this? Or will I be stuck manually erasing each and every message from 2006? Note that erasing one Sent message takes 5 minutes, as opposed to a message in the inbox which is erased instantly.

To be accurate, because I already started manually deleting the messages, I still have 6000 messages in my Sent folder. Woe is me!

    Thanks for any help!

    6.-Find Wizard hotsync
    7.-Click on it
    8.-A window shows
9.-Palm desktop or Outlook Make your choice
10.-A new window will show your actual ID and an option for a new one
11.-Choose the new one ID Type what you like as ID
12.-Continue clicking until you reach the window for a hotsync
    13.-Hotsync your device.-
    14.-Place your SD card
    15.-New hotsync
16.-Load app by app you donīt have now Make a new hotsync or
17.-Copy from your before ID backup file all the apps you need to the back up file of your new ID
    18.-Hotsync again THATīS IT.
    19.-Turn on your phone.

Maybe there is a fast option but I am not a tech just a current user.
