Default MP3s Ringtones wont play

My treo 680 wont play the ringtone I designated in the induvidual profile in contacts. It plays one of the default ones. How do I personalize the ringtones to different people?

I believe you may need to convert to wav format..

you need to download a freeware available on the net to convert them into a format that allows you to set them as ringtone ... took me a while to figure out but it works well.

The application name is called MusicTones.Prc

Hope it helps

Music or Audio Now what?

I've downloaded MusicTones.prc and installed the app on my Treo 680. Now how do I get my sound files from my computer to my Palm? The "How It Works" instructions were not particularly enlightening. Where does the Treo store files that are uploaded to it?

The problem with the instructions (which I already had) is that it does not clearly state what needs to be done:

What browser? The one on my computer or the browser on my Palm?
I have not been able to get MP3s on my Treo 680 either.
It's that first big step that is the doozy. I see how the IMPORT works and even understand the rest of the steps.

Keltie
How it works:

Use the browser to select a file. Tap on "Play" to play it. Tap on "Import" to import it.
The Import form lets you crop the file to the desire section. Tap "OK" to import the file into the Treo ringtones manager.
Use the Treo ringtones manager to select the newly imported song.
