Must Have Software
HI everyone, as a New Owner of a Treo 680, I would like to know what software do you think is a must have?

Smart Phone Idiot
The software in my signature. I used it on my 650, and the only thing I have added new since the upgrade is Quickipedia. If I had to pick one or two killer apps for everyday use, it would be Chatter and zLauncher

I suggest taking the time to consider what you want to do with your device. If it is for data collection, then HanDBase, Documents To Go, Quick Office; if it is for word processing, Documents to Go, Quick Office or WordSmith. If it is for email, then ChatterEmail. There are just so many avenues. Ben

Can someone tell me if there is a search function on the 680? I am particularly interested in being able to search in the calendar.

1. Open your calendar
2. Press OPTION + Left Shift (the little magnifying glass on the right side of the key indicates finding as in Sherlock Holmes I guess...)
3. Enter your search string.
This is the Treo's Global Find so it searches everywhere. However, as in step 1. above, it searches the application you have open first.

Sorry to be so dense...where is the option button?

When installing new apps, take a second and check out the PalmFocus compatibility list for the 680. If it's listed as incompatible, save yourself major headaches and avoid it.

Thanks, for the suggestions and for the list of not compatible software for the 680

im not sure that it will work, but that is what i have on the 650...... googlemaps, minitones, palm does not allow mp3 ringtones, this does its a memory hog but it is COOL, then i like to go with TCPMP this allows me to watch dvd's on my treo. ripping the dvds to MP4 is another isse, i just buythen off my friend, so i dont know hoe to do it. then we have toccer, it is a weird version of aol AIM, it wil bring up your buddylist and let you chat, this does use your media plan so i suggest that you have unlimited media plan before you use this.
